As die-hard Disney animation buffs for eons, we were absolutely floored when they reached out to us to be part of this super special project.
"Chang Can Dunk" is a 2023 American sports-drama flick, penned and directed by the mega-talented Jingyi Shao in his first full-length feature. The flick spins an underdog coming-of-age yarn, revolving around high school hoops and Chang's unwavering quest to defy the odds.
Here at HBJ, we were the creative masterminds behind the opening credits, closing credits, rad 2D animated sequences, slick social media graphics, and jaw-dropping VFX. We drew inspiration from a wild mashup of 90s vibes like EA SPORTS video game graphics, 1990s indie rock band logos, and 80s anime.
