“ASLEEP IN THE DEEP” MUSIC VIDEO
Hey Beautiful Jerk has collaborated with Grammy award-winning band Mastodon since opening for Biz in 2016. The first project was for the music video “Asleep in the Deep” directed by Shane Morton and Skinner. HBJ vfx supervised the shoot at Shane Morton’s ATL studio, where all the fantastic sets and puppets were fabricated. HBJ handled all aspects of the post-production and created new scenes while editing to enhance the epic tale of where your cat goes at night.

“EMPEROR OF SAND” TOUR VISUALS
HBJ and Skinner created over an hour of psychedelic, nightmare-fuel content for Mastodon’s “Emperor of Sand” tour in 2017. The phantasmagorical visuals fused narrative content based on the album's concept with stand-alone “worlds” scored to Mastodon’s ferocious sound. The band continues to use visuals on their current tours. 

“CRACK THE SKYE” 10th ANNIVERSARY TOUR VISUALS
 Mastodon approached HBJ to create tour visuals for their legendary album “Crack The Skye.” The visuals were inspired by Brann Dailor's narrative about a person with paraplegia who discovers he can astral travel but loses control, gets stranded in the cosmos, and is pursued by the Devil. 

“FALLEN TORCHES” MUSIC VIDEO
Produced by HBJ and co-directed with visual effects WIZARD Jesper Nybroe and Machina-Infinitum, the video features amazing, psychedelic fractal animations paired with Mastodon's heavy AF riffs.
